Had his schooling at Naduvil High School and for a year at Tagore Vidyaniketan, Thalipparamba. His Pre-Degree education was at Payyanur College. He studied during his Degree education at Payyanur, Kanjangad, and Kannur.  For M.Sc. (Mathematics) he joined at Devagiri College and shifted to Cochin University. Whereas the Upanishads speak of Five Sheaths or Koshas, the Tantras speak of six chakras.
